US election: I’ll accept result if I win, says Trump

Republican White House hopeful Donald Trump said Thursday that he would accept a “clear election result” next month, but reserved the right to challenge the outcome if he felt it was “questionable.”

Trump stuck firm to his unprecedented defiance of US democratic norms, telling supporters: “I will totally accept the results of this great and historic presidential election — if I win.”

But he went on to say: “I will accept a clear election result, but I will also reserve my right to contest and file a legal challenge in the case of a questionable result.”

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday set aside its June 30, 2017, interim order of forfeiture of the sums of N500m and $500,000 allegedly looted from the Zamfara State’s share of the Paris Club refunds made by the Federal Government. Businessman Aka Udofia has offered the Super Eagles the sum of $20,000 for every goal scored in Monday’s 2018 World Cup qualifer against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions in Yaounde. Recession will end soon, says Osinbajo

The Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has said the economic recession facing the country will not last until 2020 as predicted by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Olisa Agbakoba. Osinbajo, who  said this in Ede, Osun State on Thursday in an interview with journalists after the eighth convocation  of the Redeemer’s University, stated that the recession would end very soon because the administration was focused on measures to revive the economy and make it strong.
