Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Obi is challenging the President-elect, Bola Tinubu’s victory at the presidential polls, insisting that there were some irregularities during the conduct of the election. Speaking in an interview with Punch, Onifade insisted that Obi’s victory at the tribunals is certain considering that the election was sabotaged. He said, “Yes, that is why the law says that if you have genuine reasons to believe that you have been cheated in an election, you should go to the tribunal. That is the law and we are law-abiding people. You know we have a case so we will argue the case before the judges and we are very optimistic that they will see reasons with us because we think we have been cheated. Justice is a condition for peace and  injustice  is a quick condition for the lack of peace. According to Section 77 (2&3) of the Electoral Act 2022, Peter Obi is not a member of the Labour party. As a result, he is not qualified to contest the February 25, 2023 presidential election on behalf of the party. Section 77 (2) says every political party must have/maintain a register of its .members in soft and hard copy.
