World renowned football star cum business tycoon, Cristiano Ronaldo is set to launch his new, rated five-star Pestana CR7 hotel this week, Friday July 23, in his native Funchal in Madeira, Portugal.
The Real Madrid FC star has obviously invested his millions in the hospitality business and the location is breath taking. Currently on a blissful holiday on Ibiza, recovering from a busy season on board a private yacht, Ronaldo is expected to return for the grand opening of his boutique hotel this Friday with its design said to appeal to “millennial traveller”

Pestana CR7 Hotel’s Description
The sophisticate Pestana CR7 hotel as described in the hotel’s website, is also located in downtown Lisbon and has been built in the heart of the vibrant city, only 50 metres away of the famous Praça do Comercio, a lifestyle, individual designed hotel in contemporary Art Deco style.
The hotel also has a rooftop swimming pool overlooking the views of Funchal and the harbour.
The interior of the hotel is decorated with Ronaldo memorabilia, with signed shirts adorning some of the walls in a contemporary art deco style with its floors furnished with grass-effect carpets.
There are 48 rooms; all over looking the ocean, with basic rooms priced is at £180-a-night – all equipped with WIFI, mood lighting and high tech shower heads.
And the single CR7 suite -which costs £575-a-night – boasts a PlayStation4 , virtual reality glasses and games, plus cardio workout equipment.
The hotel wellness suite even offer a “Get in Shape” programme for guests hoping to replicate a Ronaldo six-pack, accompanying its exclusive outdoor gym and sauna facilities.
Pestana CR7 hotel in Madeira, Portugal is the first of four the 31-year old Ronaldo has invested in. Total number of the hotel chains are located in; Madiera and Lisbon both in Portugal; Madrid, Spain; and New York United States.
The 70 million hotels portfolio is expected to be completed by launching the sites in Spain and NY in 2017.

Businessman Aka Udofia has offered the Super Eagles the sum of $20,000 for every goal scored in Monday’s 2018 World Cup qualifer against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions in Yaounde. Recession will end soon, says Osinbajo

The Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has said the economic recession facing the country will not last until 2020 as predicted by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Olisa Agbakoba. Osinbajo, who  said this in Ede, Osun State on Thursday in an interview with journalists after the eighth convocation  of the Redeemer’s University, stated that the recession would end very soon because the administration was focused on measures to revive the economy and make it strong.
